The European Scrap Battle!!!!!! And I'm a WINNER!

WAUW, wat een geweldige reis was dit. En ik ga echt volgend jaar weer mee doen.
Ik heb enorm veel geleerd, veel plezier gehad en heel veel mooie creative projecten zien voorbij komen. Dus je kunt je voorstellen dat ik heel veel inspiratie heb opgedaan.

En ik ben enorm blij dat ik deze mooie Badge mag gebruiken!!!!

Ik hoop dat ik jullie een beetje aansteek om ook aan de battle mee te doen.

Zo nu wil ik jullie wel even laten zien wat ik heb gemaakt en vooral wat de laatste opdracht is geweest.
Omschrijf hoe je jezelf als scrapper ziet en beeld dit uit in een "vorm " van spiegeling.

Dit zal een langer blog post worden, daar ik wel even wil schrijven wat ik heb gedaan en dan natuurlijk ook nog foto's laat zien.
Dus heb geduld :-)

Ik heb voor dit Mixed Media project twee canvassen gebruikt van 40x40 cm. Hier heb ik dan eerst structuur pasta opgedaan en heel veel stencils van Crafters Workshop gebruikt. En een stukje ribbel karton erop geplakt.
Daarna ben ik aan de klieder gegaan met Distress Ink.

Ik heb twee schilders paletten wit gemaakt met Gesso. Twee kleine kartonnen schilder ezels heb ik een kleur gegeven met de Distress Ink. Rond de foto heb ik gebruik gemaakt van Structuur pasta en pasta met kleine parels in. En aluminium folie gebruikt......deels om het spiegel effect te laten zien.

En mocht dat niet werken, dan doen we er nog een kleine spiegel bij :-)

Ik zie mezelf echt als een Creative ziel.....of ik dat altijd ben geweest? Nou in jongere jaren zeker niet. 

Kleurrijk ben ik altijd al geweest. Ik vind felle aanwezige kleuren vaker mooier dan zachte. Misschien niet bij anderen, maar wel heel duidelijk bij mijn werk.

Bij het kaarten maken ben ik altijd erg netjes geweest. Bijna secuur.....

Maar sinds de deelname aan deze Battle heb ik ook andere dingen ontdekt dan alleen maar kaarten maken.....en ik moet zeggen iets slordiger werken bevalt me goed.

Ik heb eigenlijk altijd open gestaan voor allerlei creative uitspattingen. Maar door deel te nemen en mezelf uit te dagen heb ik gemerkt dat ik nog meer open sta......en ik wil nog zo veel leren.

En vooral experimenteren!!!!!!

 Ik wil bij deze een ieder bedanken die zich de moeite genomen heeft mij te volgen op deze reis en ook voor de stemmen die jullie hebben gegeven.

Wat dit alles ook nog leuk maakt is dat mijn blog maatje Christa gewonnen heeft in de categorie kaarten!!! Geen wonder, want ze is kei goed.

En dan wil ik natuurlijk ook nog een grote dank uitspreken voor de dame die dit allemaal mogelijk heeft gemaakt. Zij heeft deze super orginele battle verzonnen. Ze heeft enorm veel mensen de mogelijkheid gegeven zich te ontplooien met giga gave opdrachten. Ze heeft je tot het uiterste gepushed!!!
Niet alleen daarom doe ik weer mee aan de volgende battle die begin 2014 van start gaat, maar ook om mezelf weer uit te dagen.....wat kan k nog meer uit me halen!! Een enorm groei proces. En je houd er zo veel leuke creative vrienden aan over.

European Scrap Battle part 5 ( Mixed Media )

I made it with the Mixed Media to round 5....now I have to wait until saturday if I also made it to round 6. 
The theme this time was use a music style. I choose House music ant this is what I made.

I used the great paper from Maja Design. Perhaps not typical for this kind of music style, but this canvas should fit in my craftroom...which it does now :-)

I used lace for the curtains.

A sweet heart on the roof made out of pearls and a embellishment.

Some lace with the roof and a charm at the door.

Cut out a clock from the paper and used a LaLaLand die.

One the clock I used some crackle.

A welcome sign and a sweet door.

On this roof I did put a bigger cord.

European Scrap Battle part 4 (Mixed Media )

Today I want to show you the mixed media that I made for the battle.

My Mixed Media

I so love these dolls and I thought it would be perfect to use her for my canvas. 

Her dress is made out of design paper and some flower ribbon. Isn't she pretty in her dress?

I made one flower out of a zipper and two flowers I made with the melting pot. ( even the heart is made with the melting pot )

It was fun to make this canvas and I like how it turned out

 Embossing powder and structure paste for a fun effect.

European Scrap Battle part 4 (LO and Alter )

Hi I'm back again to show you the LO and Alter that I made for the Battle.

My LO

My sweet mom on this picture. 

I used some fantastic lace that I did win a long while ago

paper flowers and a mask with flowers and structure paste

and some great foam glitter letters

My Alter

For this I used a wooden piece and put on some crackle paint clear and white. After that I put on some Distress ink to give it a older look.

I used felt, paper, crochet and wood flowers on this alter. A little envelop with a message and the bird cage from Tim Holtz. 

The next time I will show you my Mixed Media :-)

European Scrap Battle part 4 ( card and ATC )

Did you vote or not??

Well the voting is over and I can now show you what I made for the battle.
This time the task was to use at least one flower design paper and three different flowers.....wood, paper, plastic and so on.
I think it was a fun challenge again. Today I will show you may card and the ATC

My Card
I made a flower with the Mod molds and used beside paper flowers a sort of iron flower

I used this perfect stamp and added a lot of smears and smudges on the card ;-)

For the vintage effect I did use embossing powder.

My ATC

I made one flower myself....a bit proud :-) I used iron wire for it. Than a white flower out of fabric and small paper flowers ( the small white once are made out of parchment paper )

European Scrap Battle part 3

I hope you all did vote the last time :-)

Today I can show what I made for the battle and gosh it was a difficult task.
COLOR IT!!! No black and white allowed. 
First I thought this is going to be easy....but boy was I wrong. I noticed that a LOT of scrap paper has white or black in it. So I had to come up with something else. 
And that is the fun with this battle :-) to be creative and try new things you never done before.

My card
I used distress ink for the background and a fabulous stencil from TCW. I colored the pasta with distress ink and added a flower and a text.

My ATC

So much fun to make. I stamped a flower in different sizes and embossed the flowers in different colors. Than I colored every thing with Distress ink.

My LO

I liked the idea of the ATC so much that I made my own background even on the LO.

 Added some colorful flowers and ribbon

My Mixed Media

Like I said you really have to use a lot of creativity and I was not at all pleased with this one when I made this. So I made a new one that even got worse :-) So I tried to fix the first one and now I really like the result. I used crepe paper and a lot of dylusion and Distress ink. Because it turned out not the way I had thought I didn't care for the text. But I will fix that too.....

And I will show the result later.

European Scrap Battle part 2

Well as you could read yesterday I participate in the European Scrap Battle. 
Today I want to show you what I made for round 2. On the project you should use one word only to tell what scrapbook means to you.
I had a lot of fun to make everything. Hope you like all the pictures that I will show you now.

My Card

 Colored with Derwent on kraft.

My LO

Used seashells that I found on the beach this summer in Belgium

I put glitter and flings in the structure paste and I used a Stencil for the hearts

My Mixed Media

Some structure paste on a canvas

I glued on a doily flowers and embelishments and painted everything white.

Than I colored it with Glimmermist

My Altered case

With a lot of beautiful flowers and washi tape

And last but not least my ATC

I used Distress ink and TH stamps

Some frantage

I put on some glossy accents for the finishing touch.
